Part-time students who take six hours a semester can complete the Master of Accountancy in about two years. Full-time students taking between 12 and 15 hours a semester can finish in about a year.

Both part-time and full-time students also can take summer classes to speed up their degree completion.

UHV Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA)

The University of Houston-Victoria's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, offered in partnership with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service, provides free tax return assistance to individuals and families who need help with preparing and filing their federal income tax returns. The program is available during tax season, February through April.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • $64,000 or less annual income
