Saeed Janani is an assistant professor who joined The School of Business Administration at the University of Houston-Victoria in 2020. Professor Janani’s research interests fall into two major streams. In one stream, he explores the marketing/technology interface, specifically issues relating to the impact of firms’ capabilities and technological orientation on firm performance. His second stream of research focuses on the roles of marketing in enhancing societal welfare, beyond just what is good for the financial performance of firms, and he seeks to answer how marketing phenomena might improve people’s lives and strengthen societies.
He received his Ph.D. in Marketing from W.P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University, in 2020. Prior to that, he worked for four years as a product and brand manager. He enjoys outdoor sports activities, traveling, and reading.
