Who is my advisor?
Academic Advisors in the School of Arts & Sciences are assigned based on classification and major. Undergraduate advisor contact information can be found here and Graduate advisor contact information can be found here. Your assigned academic advisor can also be found in your MyUHV account via your Student Center.

How do I schedule an appointment with my assigned advisor?
Students may schedule a phone or face to face appointment with their academic advisor via the Navigate App.
What is the Navigate App?
Navigate is the free mobile app that allows students to schedule an advising session, explore various majors, view holds, check their class schedules, and more!
How do I download the Navigate app?
Android Devices: Requires Android 4.1 and up.
Instructions to download:
- Go to Google Play or the Apple App Store
- Search "navigate student" to install app
- Once installed, search for "University of Houston-Victoria"
- Use your UHV log in credentials to log in
When is next semesters schedule published?
Summer and fall schedules are available to view online April 1. Spring schedules are available to view online November 1.
When does registration open/close?
Please refer to the Academic Calendar or Student Records for registration dates.
What is the deadline to make changes to my schedule?
Please refer to the or Student for course add/change deadlines.
What is the deadline to drop a class?
Please refer to the or Student for drop deadlines.
How do I add a class that I have prerequisites for but am still receiving an error?
If you meet prerequisites for a class but are receiving a prerequisite error, please fill out an add form located in eforms. You can check the form status in eforms and also monitor your UHV email for information about the form.
How do I access my student email and Blackboard?
Students can log into JagSpace to access student email and Blackboard.
