Esther Liberman Cuenca specializes in the history of medieval and early modern Britain. She received her PhD in History from Fordham University. Her current book project, The Making of Borough Customary Law in Medieval Britain, focuses on the development of law in British towns from the twelfth to the sixteenth centuries. Her research interests include the history of medieval Britain, law, urbanization, and medievalism (i.e., the middle ages in popular culture), and her teaching interests vary widely, ranging from medieval and modern Europe to global history, gender, and film.
