General Collection Sites:

Bins: There will be three different types of general collection bins.

  • ClearMax Bins for plastic drink bottles and aluminum drink cans. The ClearMax general collection sites will consist of 2 bins together as a unit, one of each designated as above. The ClearMax collection bin consists of a wire frame, a blue top with appropriate openings for designated recycle material. The bags are clear for ready identification of recycle content. These bins will be found at the following locations:

    1. Center Building, First Floor – two sites, one at each of the main entrances, just inside the second set of doors.
    2. Center Building, Second Floor – one site located east of the ladies’ restroom corridor.
    3. Center Building, Third Floor – one site located at the outside southwest corner of the President’s conference room.
    4. West Building, First Floor – two sites, one located inside the Ben Jordan entrance, one located at the Red River entrance.
    5. West Building, Second Floor – one site, located on the outside corner of 208H, at the hallway intersection by the elevators.
    6. New Addition, First Floor – one location at the East entrance.
    7. New Addition, Second Floor- one location at the junction between West and New Addition.

  • Blue Rubbermaid collection centers will have four collection ports, one of which will be designated for trash. The other three will be designated for Newsprint, Plastic bottles, and Aluminum cans.

    1. Center Building, First floor – one center will be located at the vending machines, its current location. The current paper bin will be re-designated Newsprint.
    2. West Building, Second Floor – one center will be located at the vending machines, its current location. The current paper bin will be re-designated Newsprint.

  • Lift-top Formica boxes designated newsprint and white copy paper collection sites.

    1. West Building, First Floor – two are located at each of the water fountain stations outside the restrooms. They serve ADA functions and cannot be removed or relocated.
    2. West Building, Second Floor – two are located at each of the water fountain stations outside the restrooms. They serve ADA functions and cannot be removed or relocated.

  • Miscellaneous general collection sites are recycle cans or bins already in use at locations such as student lounges and faculty workrooms. There are newspaper, can and bottle, and paper containers which will remain in use at those locations.
