In WebCT Vista, there is not a dedicated "Student Presentations" tool. Instead, the Assignments tool has publishing features built-in that enable students to "publish" their submission, that is, make it available for everyone in the class to open or view. Assignments by individuals or groups can be published, provided the instructor has enabled that feature (some assignments might be publishable and some may not).
Presentations may be in submitted in common formats, such as Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets, or web pages, depending on the requirements specified in the assignment instructions.
Group presentations may also be submitted using the same features as for individual assignments. With group presentations, however, any single member of the group can both submit or publish the presentation.
To submit your presentation, follow the instructions for viewing an assignment and then submitting it below.

The Assignments tool located on your tool bar is divided into four tabs:
The Inbox tab contains assignments that you have been assigned and submissions that have been returned to you for editing (figure 1). Note that Missed assignments are automatically moved to the Submitted tab when the final cutoff date has passed.

Figure 1: Assignments Inbox
The Submitted tab contains assignments that you have submitted, resubmitted, or missed the cutoff date, but have not yet been graded (figure 2).

Figure 2: Submitted Assignments
The Graded tab contains all submissions that have been reviewed by your instructor (figure 3). The assignments have been graded or marked as completed (but without a grade).

Click the Assignment title to view details and grading comments from your instructor (figure 4).

Figure 4: View Graded Submission
The Published tab contains all submissions that you or your instructor decide to make viewable to all members of the course (figure 5). If you have been given the option to publish, you can publish, republish, or unpublish your submission from the Inbox, Submitted, and Graded tabs. Additional instructions on publishing your presentation for an assignment will be available below.

Click the link to the assignment that is requesting your presentation (either from the Assignments Inbox or its link on an organizer page or within a learning module). The Edit Submission screen appears (figure 6). You may want to type a short note in the 'Submission' box indicating that your presentation is attached below.
1. To upload your presentation as an attachment, first click the Browse button (figure 6).

Figure 6: Edit your Assignment Submission
If you are submitting a web page assignment, you must zip (compress) your web page files into a single zip file and then upload. The assignment submission form will specify Web Pages versus Attachments (figure 7).

2. Then click the My Computer icon (figure 8). This will allow you to locate the file of your presentation on your computer to upload. Please note that the first time during a WebCT session that you want to choose a file, it may take several seconds for the My Computer icon to appear (loading the java applet).

3. The Open files window will appear and you should locate the assignment file containing your presentation that you want to attach (figure 9). Click the filename once to select it and then click the Open button to start loading your file. If your file is large, this may take a few seconds, depending on your connection speed. You will notice a Java window open up temporarily, indicating that the file is loading. This window will close automatically. Do not click Close unless you want to abort the upload process.

4. Next, your file will now appear in the Choose Files window in WebCT (figure 10). Mark the checkbox next to the filename and click the Add Selected button to attach your file.

Figure 10: Add Selected file
Your file containing your presentation is now listed in the Attachments section in your Submission window (figure 11).

5. Click the Submit button to complete the assignment. You can add/remove files as you need before submitting. Once you click the Submit button, you cannot redo your assignment unless your instructor has specifically allowed for resubmissions.
The Save as Draft option allows you to save your work before the final submission. By saving as a draft, you can come back to the assignment and make changes as needed. This function is especially useful for group presentations, whereby one student may attach files that the other members may need to preview before final submission. All members of the group may Preview or download the file(s) that another member has attached as long as it has been saved as draft. Once it has been Submitted, however, then the file(s) can no longer be modified.

From the course homepage, click on the assignment tool icon on your WebCT toolbar. You should see the assignment list (figure 12). Notice that when you enter the assignment tool, it defaults to the Inbox tab.

Click on the Submitted tab. Locate the presentation that you have already submitted and wish to publish. If the instructor has given you access to publishing rights, you will have an icon under the Actions column on the right hand side of the page (see figure 12 above). Clicking on this icon will display the popup window below (figure 13).

Click on the publish button to publish your presentation. Remember, once you publish your presentation, it will be viewable by everyone in your section under the Published tab of the Assignment tool.
