Disable auto update of Java

After installing this version of Java you will more than likely see the Java coffee cup update icon in your taskbar near your clock in the lower right hand corner:

Do not update!

Instead right click on the coffee cup and then left click on the word “Properties”.

A window similar to the one below should appear. Click on the “Update” tab at the top and then UNCHECK the “Check for Updates Automatically” so that it looks like it does in the picture.

Click the “Apply” button.

Then close the window by click on the red “X” in the upper right hand corner.

The update icon should now be gone from the Taskbar at the bottom.

To Clear Java Cache.
