My UHV Experience.

Texas A&M-Victoria
Legislation has been introduced to move UHV from the University of Houston System to the Texas A&M System. From what Ive discussed with staff members and students, it seems like we could be called Texas A&M-Victoria in the fall.
With this switch brings some different things to our school, like the level of education probably will be raised. There might be changes in financial aid. There might be an expansion, which means more buildings will be built, maybe even in a different location in Victoria.
If you ask me, it doesnt really matter what our name is. The first thing I asked my soccer coach after he told us was whether we would get new jerseys. :) Our training gear isnt all that great, just throwing it out there.
But, in other cases, it does mean changes in a lot of aspects of school. It might mean some people cant get into the university if the admissions standards change. Hopefully, it will all work out for the best, and everything will go OK. And if it means expanding the university, which also means more students, then thats good news. In my opinion, it should be a good thing, but well see what the future holds.
