My UHV Experience.

Fishing outing yields 20 catfish

So I went home to Yorktown on Thursday evening. I usually come home on Fridays after hitting balls on the range because I don’t have class, but I can practice here in Yorktown, too.

On Friday, I slept in – finally − practiced and had lunch with my boyfriend. My boyfriend plays baseball, and he had a game Friday and Saturday, so I attended both.

After his game on Saturday, we planned to go fishing at his cousin’s ranch outside of my hometown. The tank is drying up due to the lack of rain, so we wanted to get the rest of the fish out. We started fishing about 6 p.m. and didn’t finish until about 9. Instead of using fishing poles, we used a cast net because there really isn’t much water. It was easier when the sun went down to see where the fish were exactly because they were coming up for air, and it was much cooler. In the end, we ended up catching 20 catfish − five more than my boyfriend’s dad and cousin had caught Thursday.

On Sunday, we went out there around 11 a.m., but it was too hot, and all the fish were in the middle. This weekend was really fun, and I ended it by relaxing with my parents and boyfriend before I went back. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Countdown until summer ’11 continues:  five weeks. :]

Have a good week, everyone!
