Keep students in mind when deciding on switch to Texas A&M
So many of you already know that state Rep. Geanie Morrison has proposed a bill to move the University of Houston-Victoria into the Texas A&M University System.
It personally doesn’t matter to me; I just don’t want it to cause a lot of problems. From what I’ve read, UHV would possibly even have to change its mascot because Texas A&M University-San Antonio also is the Jaguars. There also are far bigger changes that would have to be made. There are some Victoria natives who don’t want to see the University of Houston System leave Victoria, but it may happen. I hope whatever is decided fits best for the students and others involved with the change.
To change the subject, I hope everyone is enjoying their start to Spring Break 2011. I know I am. The beginning of my week will start with a golf tournament in Blanco, Texas. I hope the weather is nice and not rainy like is predicted. I also plan to spend time with my family and boyfriend. We’ve been planning to go play putt-putt, take a trip to the zoo, shop, play even more golf and much more!
