Component II: Spring Academy (Certificate III)
The final academy focuses on advanced topics in instructional design and course development. The academy will consist of 48 hours seat time over 12 weeks combined face-to-face and online.

On the basis of the session Internet-based Learning Activities in Certificate 2, more discussions will be given in this session on pedagogy and design of complicate learning activities with blog, wiki, podcasting, and so on.

The faculty members will use certain tools to evaluate the online courses they have developed or improved in the Faculty Academy .

On the basis of the session WebCT Tools in Certificate 2, advanced level strategies of developing and delivering online courses with the WebCT tools will be discussed. - Adobe Acrobat Connect (Advanced)
On the basis of the session Adobe Acrobat Connect in Certificate 2, advanced level strategies of hosting and facilitating virtual online meeting with Adobe Acrobat Connect will be discussed.

This is a hands-on session on creating WebCT assessments with Respondus. - Screen Video Recording with Camtasia
This is a hands-on session on doing video recording and editing with Camtasia. Pedagogy of using video recording for online courses will be discussed as well. - Multimedia for Online Instruction
This is a hands-on session on creating and editing audio and video with appropriate authoring tools for online courses. Pedagogy of using audio and video for online courses will be discussed as well. - Podcast Development
This is a hands-on session on recording, editing, and publishing podcasts. Pedagogy of using podcasts for instructional purposes will be discussed as well. - Handout Design with Adobe InDesign
This is a hands-on session on designing and developing handouts for online courses with Adobe InDesign. - Advanced Graphic Editing with Adobe Photoshop
This is a hands-on session on graphic editing with Adobe Photoshop.
