Bilingual Target Language Proficiency Test (BTLPT)
The University of Houston-Victoria is an official testing site for the Bilingual Target Language Proficiency Test (BTLPT) on behalf of Educational Testing Services (ETS). The BTLPT is a computer-based exam that replaced the TOPT in July 2010.
These computer-based administrations are generally held five times a year in the University Center Building in RM 201.

Things to Know Before Test Day
Examinees should report to the University Center Building by 9:30 a.m. No examinees will be admitted after 10:00 a.m.
LEAVE ALL PERSONAL ITEMS IN YOUR VEHICLE. You will ONLY need a VALID photo ID for admittance (see ID Requirements). NO purses, bags, cell phones or electronic devices allowed. Pencils and scratch paper will be provided (no mechanical pencils or highlighters).
Cell phones or any kind of electronic communication devices are not allowed in the testing center. All cell phones should be left at home or in a vehicle. Using a cell phone or possessing a cell phone or other electronic communication device during testing is grounds for dismissal.
