Bilingual Target Language Proficiency Test (BTLPT)

The University of Houston-Victoria is an official testing site for the Bilingual Target Language Proficiency Test (BTLPT) on behalf of Educational Testing Services. The BTLPT is a computer-based exam that will replace the TOPT by July 2010.

These computer-based administrations are generally held five times a year in the University Center Building in RM 216. (Room 215 is the waiting room where you'll report, fill out the confidentiality form, and wait to be admitted.)

Things to Know Before Test Day

Examinees should report to the University Center Building at least thirty minutes early. No examinees will be admitted after their scheduled test time.

Cell phones or any kind of electronic communication devices are not allowed in the testing center. All cell phones should be left at home or in a vehicle. Using a cell phone or possessing a cell phone or other electronic communication device during testing is grounds for dismissal.
