Calendar and Costs Prague, Czech Republic
Students
interested in preparing for participation in a global
economy will find the UHV short term programs in Prague an
excellent opportunity, especially for those that are limited
on time due to working and/or family commitments.
As a participant, you will study in Prague for a two week
period. All classes will be a three credit hour course.
Daily
itinerary for two week program.
All students must
have a valid U.S. passport and an international student I.D.

of the program, which is
an estimate $2900.00.
Not included
are, local travel, meals (other than breakfast), laundry,
personal expenses, personal weekend travel or other costs
such as extra nights lodging and meals due to unforeseen
events.

A non-refundable $250 deposit made payable to University must be included with your
completed application and be mailed to the address below.
Deposit will be refunded only if you are not accepted
into the program or your course is cancelled.

Textbooks and reading materials are the student’s
responsibility and the inability of the student to secure
materials is not a valid reason for late assignments or
delay of a class.

be obtained in Room108 in the University West Building, or
you may purchase it online at

Proof of purchase is required.

Double occupancy rooms, including breakfast, will be
reserved for the nights of May 15-30, 2008 at Komenskeho
Kolej, a modern dormitory facility of Charles University,
the oldest university in Central Europe, founded in 1348.
Usually, two or three bedrooms share a bathroom and
kitchenette (refrigerator but no stove). Linens are
included. Two small washing machines are available for the
use of dorm residents, and a Laundromat is only a few stops
away on the tram. For maximum flexibility, no additional
meals are included in the package. Inexpensive (about $10
and up) meals are available in snack bars, pubs, “fast food”
franchises and restaurants. The dormitory is located four
blocks from Prague Castle, on a tram line that connects to
the Metro, Prague’s subway system. Using safe public
transport, historical sites, shopping streets, restaurants,
theaters, concert halls and jazz clubs are easily reached.
Weekend travel to other destinations is easily possible by
bus or rail, given the central location of Prague.
