London - Calendar and Costs

Students interested in preparing for participation in a global economy will find the UHV short term programs in London an excellent opportunity, especially for those that are limited on time due to working and/or family commitments. As a participant, you will study in London for a four week period. All classes will be a six credit hour course with three hours awarded for lecture and three hours for individual research.

Program Calendar

  • Deadline for application: February 15, 2017

  • Depart for London: July 2017

  • Return to United States: August 2017

  • Deadline for payment of program cost: April 1, 2017

All students must have a valid U.S. passport and an International Student Identification Card. 

Program Costs

Students will pay the cost of the program, which in 2016 is $6,900 ($7,150 for graduate students) and includes round-trip airfare from Dallas to London, tuition, program fees in London, housing, and all program related transportation. Spaces available for London are limited and students are urged to apply early. There is a $150 surcharge for students taking the Shakespeare, Photography, or the Theatre class.

  • A non-refundable $250 deposit made payable to MSU British Studies/London must be included with your completed application and be mailed to the address below. Deposit will be refunded only if you are not accepted into the program or your course is cancelled.

  • Textbooks, tube pass and meals are not included in the program fee.

  • International Student Identification Card (ISIC):  Information for obtaining your ISIC will be provided by Midwestern.

  • A mini-break during the session will allow students to travel throughout England & Western Europe.

  • Each student will be housed in a private room with a built-in desk, single bed, clothes closet, and lavatory. Each six-bedroom suite is equipped with a bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. A virtual campus tour can be accessed.

  • Students are advised to have approximately $3000 for food, excursions, and personal expenses.
