Change Your Password
Directions for Changing Your Password
After you log in to MyUHV, you may be prompted to change your password. Or, you may want to change your password for some other reason (for example, you may want to change your password after you receive a temporary password).
Step 1: Go to http://my.uh.edu and choose (click on) Log In to MyUHV.
Step 2: Choose (click on) My System Profile in the left navigation box labeled Learner Services.
Step 3: Choose Change password.
Step 4: The Change password screen will appear.
You must enter your current password and then enter your new password twice (in the New Password and Confirm Password boxes).
Your password should be 10 characters long and should have at least one number.

Step 5: Next, we recommend that you set up forgotten password help.
Step 6: First, choose a question from the drop down menu that the system can use to authenticate you.
There are several options.

After you’ve chosen a question, you’ll enter your response.
In the example below, you can see that the student chose the question “What is my pet’s name?” and entered “Skipper” as the response.

Finally, choose OK.
A new password will be emailed to you.
