Call to Order- The meeting was called to order
in Victoria at 12:04p.m

Role Call-
Members Present:
Janet Forester, Kristen Lindley, Juan Diego Martinez, Nicole M.
Garcia, Melissa Romanowski, Crystal Mapp, Sheila Jaure, Valerie
Kemp, Shauna Sullivan, Amber Scott, Whitney Damborsky, Jerico Erik
Garino.
Present via telephone conference: Ashley Falco
Members Absent: none

-need Washington Student Information

Officer’s Report:

President
-
President Hudson out on vacation, but board working on
changing mission statement.

Vice President:
1.
3 accounts- fundraising, supplies and student
organizations. Student organizations are eligible to receive
$250.00, but have to ask for it.

A.
By Laws Amendment
1. Representative from the School of Nursing
a. Addendum 2: One Undergraduate Senator from the School
of
Nursing to represent that school.
b.
Addendum 3: The Senator of nursing shall represent the
interest of
Nursing students and shall be free to chair or serve on any
committee as directed by Student Senate.
B.
Open Senate Positions and Special Elections
1. Addendum 2 and 3 motioned by Shelia C. Jaure,
and seconded by
Juan Diego Martinez. All representatives in favor.
C.
Expectations
1.
Meeting Attendance
a.
Twice per month: Every other Wednesday at 12:00-1:00
b.
Article 5 section 5d- cannot miss three consecutive
meetings
c.
Teleconference: Motioned by Crystal Mapp and seconded
by Shauna Sullivan. (Extension #: 148).
d.
Kristen will make a sign in sheet for next meeting
2.
Office Hours:
Tabled: Monday and Wednesday: 10-12
Tuesday and Thursday: 5-7
Make a sign in sheet for senators to sign up for available times
during the fall semester and. Shelia suggested maybe taking a
survey so students can suggest available times when they need
assistance.

Calendar for Summer Year
·
July: prepare back to school bags for August
·
August: pass out back to school bags. School
begins the 25th
·
September: ASGA conference in Washington D.C.
Possibly leave the 24th and arrive back the 29th.
Room and food will be paid by student. E-mailed Kristen by Tuesday
June 3rd for confirmation

October: VC Halloween Carnival
·
November: Meet VC SGA?
·
December: Giving Tree- donates toys and need to
decide who toys will be donated to. Christmas Parade, Finals Food
and textbook swap, vote on rose buckets for commencement in Katy @
Cinco Ranch Campus.

February: Maybe participate in Black History
Parade
·
March: Spring Fling?
·
April: Community Service-Easter Egg Hunt?
·
May: Fiesta Day-sell drinks or dessert, finals
food and textbook swap, and sell roses at commencement.

Bake Sale at Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart matches amount
raised.

Sponsor Cards- sell to business for set amount or
donation

Sell baked goods on campus

Participate at local Calendar events and sell food

Sell Jaguar gear and receive a portion

Getting a computer lab in the West Building

More allowance for paper from the printers in the lab

Headshot will be on display of front door of Senate Office. Either turn
in picture to Kristen or expect to take picture at next meeting.
