The UHV Student Advertising Federation was established on the University of Houston-Victoria campus in 2000 to serve as an educational venue for college students majoring in or having a general interest in advertising, marketing and public relations. One of the primary objectives of the Student Chapter is to encourage students to enter advertising as a career, and improve the quality of advertising education in order to strengthen the skills of future advertising practitioners. The student chapter is sponsored on a local level by the Victoria Advertising Federation (VAF), a group comprised of members who are professionals in their respective career fields.
