Goal

To provide effective overall supervision and support for academic programs, services, and personnel; to provide managerial oversight and coordination for Fort Bend MITC; to coordinate institutional planning and assessment, and to assist institutional support, stewardship, and advancement.

Objectives

orange.gif (289 bytes)   Maintain regularly updated balance and appropriate documentation with respect to the award and expenditure of funds;
orange.gif (289 bytes)   Timely instructions, drafts, and completed documents in keeping with internal, UH System, and state schedules;
orange.gif (289 bytes)   Timely completion of task as scheduled; feedback to units submitting reports;
orange.gif (289 bytes)   Timely completion of all external reports in accordance with boards’, governments’ and accrediting body deadlines;
orange.gif (289 bytes)   Conduct with P & T Committee annually a performance review of tenured faculty on a three-year cycle, about 1/3rd annually;
orange.gif (289 bytes)   Conduct with Academic Divisions and P & T Committee each year review and recommendations on third-year faculty;
orange.gif (289 bytes)   Conduct with Academic Affairs Committee review of each program on a five-year cycle – 3 to 6 each spring;
orange.gif (289 bytes)   Analyze salaries in relation to targets derived from CUPA Survey annually; update Salary plan and recommend adjustments biennially;

Methods of Assessment

Performance indicators related to each objective are measured and the results are compared with the targets. The results are also compared with the previous year.
