Alumni and student satisfaction survey are performed at university
and school level. Unfortunately, program data is not gathered at
this time. The ETS exam is taken by all students in their last semester
at UHV. The ETS exam tests graduating seniors on their knowledge
of the common body of knowledge in business. Generally, accounting
majors outperform business majors on the ETS exam.
The School of Business also reviews data concerning the pass/fail
rates of UHV graduates sitting for the CPA exam. Recently, the CPA
exam pass rates of UHV graduates have lagged behind statewide pass
rates. The accounting faculty will consider these findings in 2000-01
to revise the curriculum and/or recommend other changes that may
be needed.
