Academic Council Minutes, November 13, 2000PeopleSoft SIS Development: --Mr. Steve Webb, UH Manager of Applications Development, presented an overview of the PeopleSoft Student Information System (SIS) and responded to questions from the council and staff members in attendance. UHV should come online in 2003, with the newer version of the system, which Mr. Webb said was much more trouble free and convenient. Faculty Development Grants: --Approved a request of Dr. David Satava for a travel grant ($600) to present at the 2001 Southwest Regional Meeting of the American Accounting Association in New Orleans, LA, in Feb. --Accepted a travel grant report from Dr. Yong Glasure. Other: --Discussed Cinco Ranch and need for on-site faculty to initiate a BSIS program. DNS/kw |
