Student Appeal:

--Approved student appeal to graduate with double major.

Faculty Development Grants:

--Approved a request of Dr. Joseph Ben-Ur for a travel grant ($1,100) to present at the First International Conference on Customer Relationship Management, in India, in November.

--Approved a request of Dr. Donald Fry for a travel grant ($1,100) to present at the 92nd National Rural Education Association Annual Rural Education Convention, in South Carolina, in October.

--Accepted travel grant reports from Drs. Joseph Ben-Ur, Paul Carlson, Li Chao, Horace Fairlamb, Nora Hutto, Colleen Logan, Massoud Metghalchi, Susan Opt, Steve Trowbridge, and Linda Wilmshurst.

Other:

--Reviewed tracking list of initiatives underway or completed.

--Discussed rental car usage and possible means of increasing convenience.

--Discussed competitive scholarships and recommended that available funds be used to create more competitive scholarships of $1,000 for undergraduates, with higher amounts for graduate students.

--Decided that scheduled academic events for all students were no longer needed, since advisement was now being adequately addressed on a continuing basis.
