Scope: Admissions Rollout

  • Admissions will go-live for the SPRING semester of the 2007-2008 academic year. This is due to the fact that the initial go-live date is set for early 2007 and that is not in enough time to start the Admissions cycle for UH and UHV.
  • UH will implement the Prospect module in 8.9 for Undergraduate Domestic prospects only. Areas included are:

3C’s

Recruiters

Recruiting Regions

Region Trees

Interface with ADMIN system

Events

Interface with Web Event Registration

3C’s Assignment modification

  • PeopleSoft Prospects functionality will be out of scope for anything other than UH Undergraduate Domestic prospects.
  • The amount of converted admissions data will cover only the applicants for the previous 2 academic years. In addition to the previous 2 years, all applications for people who have ever been students will be converted with the exception of those whose records have not been audited. A separate conversion for the FALL 2007 applicants will be done just prior to the Admissions Go-Live.
  • Moving Admissions to the SPRING of the 2007-2008 year will require an interface to be written between the legacy Admissions system and the PS Admission Module to allow PS financial Aid to estimate FA awards in the FALL of 2007.
  • The initial Scope will include the multiple Application Centers for UH. However, if the requirements for any Center become problematic, that Center will be delayed until sometime after Go-Live. The implementation team, along with the Office of Admissions, will determine whether or not the requirements for a given Application Center justify being moved to a later date.
  • Admissions will utilize the PS delivered functionality for Transfer Credit. The Transfer Credit rules will be converted and the necessary modifications will be made to the delivered product to accommodate the desired functionality.
  • For Go-Live, Admissions will opt for an interface to the I-1440 process already in place rather than implement the PS SEVIS solution. PS SEVIS will be considered sometime after the initial Go-Live.
  • UH/UHV will be using the following components of PS Admissions:
