PROSPECTS to Go-Live May 2006

May 1, 2006

A new recruiting tool that is part of the PeopleSoft application will go-live May 2006, in the UH Admissions Office. Individuals who are interested in our institution, or individuals in whom our institution has an interest in recruiting, are known as prospects within PeopleSoft. These are individuals with whom we are conducting ongoing communications to help them determine if they should apply.

Recruiters can create a record for a prospective student and then capture data about that person. Information can be recorded and shared with recruiters who may have a shared interest. For example, a potential student may be identified through the Admissions Office who might also be a potential Honors College student and swim team member—in which case, recruiters from all three areas can collaboratively work with the prospective applicant. Interests can be tracked at various levels of detail and thereby sharpen our recruitment activities.

The initial rollout for the PROSPECTS module will be for the UH Office of Admissions freshman recruiting team, followed by transfer recruiting in that same office. During the Summer 2006/Fall 2006 timeframe, UH college recruiters will be able to begin receiving training to launch this powerful new tool.

UH-Clear Lake has been working with the PROSPECTS tool since Fall 2004 and has reconfigured their entire recruiting area based on the new opportunities they see in PeopleSoft!
