Parents
Welcome, parents!
As your parent liaison, I would like to welcome you to the University of Houston-Victoria Jaguar Parents’ website. UHV is committed to helping you and your student by providing information about campus life and newsworthy events, as well as parent resources. These resources will help you learn more about yourself and your student, and connect with other UHV parents and families.
Sending a student to college is a major life event, not only for students, but for the parents as well. As you know, your child is beginning a lifelong journey of professional development. Your roles as parent and mentor are very important.
And as a part of the Jaguar family, we want to be your partner in supporting your student at UHV and helping your child reach his or her career and personal aspirations.
I have worked for UHV since 1999, and I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications from this university. I coordinated the mentoring program for Letting Education Achieve Dreams, and from 2007 to 2011, I coordinated the UHV Connections E-Mentoring program between Coastal Bend College and UHV students. In April 2011, I became the coordinator for Student Retention and Parent Programs.
We want you to be involved because parental involvement increases the chances of college students’ success. Please feel free to contact me anytime you have questions.
