You too can make a difference by making your tax-deductible donation to UHV's FOU campaign today! Your important gift will help to support initiatives such as development, Letting Education Achieve Dreams (LEAD), and scholarships:

 

Development

 

Donors are often lifesavers for students and faculty of the university. Your contribution to UHV can help a student purchase textbooks; enable a working mother with two children also attending college, to realize her dream of earning a college degree; or allow faculty to conduct research and convene with their peers, thus enhancing the classroom experience. Your generous donations ensure that education in our region continues to prosper and grow.

 

Letting Education Achieve Dreams

 

UHV launched the Letting Education Achieve Dreams (LEAD) initiative in 1999 to reach out to area students and educate them that college is affordable, accessible, and attainable. Generous support of university campaigns like FOU has made it possible for LEAD to bring more than 2,000 area students to visit campus; host special events emphasizing the importance of education for more than 1,000 students at 75 schools; conducts forums for 90 community leaders; develop 45 school or district partnerships and 3 community partnerships; train 98 mentors; and train and send Student Ambassadors to 12 school districts in the region. UHV is a catalyst for uniting this region in a cohesive and well-directed effort to raise the education achievement level in the 15-county area we serve.

 

Scholarships

 

Your generous donation to scholarships doesn't end with the individual recipient ... it's only the beginning. For many students, scholarships make obtaining higher education possible by financing tuition, textbook purchases, and childcare. Every day, gifts to the university allow our students to achieve their goals and realize their dreams.

 

Your gift extends beyond the individual recipient, however. Once a student achieves his educational goals and enters the workforce, your gift then strengthens the entire region's economy.
