Access to Success Scholarship
The objective of the Access to Success Scholarship is to provide funding for public school employees to obtain a bachelor’s degree leading to elementary or secondary certification.
How to apply: Complete the UHV Scholarship Application. In addition, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
After the student’s financial need analysis is complete and all documents have been received, the file will be reviewed for scholarship eligibility. The Office will also check to see if the student is admitted and that the student’s major is Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. If the student is admitted and seeking secondary certification, the student must give the Office of Financial Aid a copy of his or her degree plan showing teacher certification in their designated program.
If the student is eligible for the scholarship, the student may receive up to $150 per course to use for books, supplies, or other educational expenses subject to fund availability.
All scholarships are subject to fund availability. The Educational Aide Exemption will not be funded by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board for an indefinate period of time.
