Our Mission
The
Office of Financial Aid at the University of Houston-Victoria is a team of
professionals dedicated to helping students locate sources of aid to lessen the
financial burdens associated with higher education. It is our goal to provide to
our students financial aid resources, debt management education and
the staff that have tools
necessary to make sound financial decisions in a timely, efficient and
customer-oriented manner.
The Office of Financial Aid at UHV is available to assist those students
who have difficulty meeting the cost of attending the university. Although the primary
responsibility for financing an education rests with the student and the student’s
immediate family, it is recognized that many students will require additional assistance
in order to finance their educational goals. Therefore, UHV offers financial assistance
based on financial need and academic achievement to those students who would otherwise not
be able to attend the university.
