Disbursements occur Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

All documentation must be completed prior to disbursement.

Other Important Loan Information

1. Students can access information about their student loan history and Federal Grant history at the following site: http://www.nslds.ed.gov/. Students need a personal identification number (PIN) prior to accessing this information. Students who do not currently hold a PIN number can go to the web site: http://www.pin.ed.gov/to obtain one.

2. When a loan recipient withdraws, drops below half-time, or graduates, he or she must complete an Loan Exit Counseling Session. This can be done by completing the Exit Counseling on the web at the following address: https://studentloans.gov. A Return of Title IV Funds will be calculated if a student withdraws, which may result in a balance owed to UHV.

3. If the Financial Aid Specialist verifies that a parent has ceased financial support and refuses to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the dependent student may be eligible for an unsubsidized loan. The maximum annual unsubsidized loan amount the student can receive is the base annual loan amount for the student's grade level plus the additional $2,000 unsubsidized loan amount. The student will need to complete the FAFSA without the parental information. In addition, a signed and dated statement from one of the parents is sufficient if it specifically states that the parent(s):

have stopped providing financial support (cash and non-cash) to the student , including the date when the financial support stopped
will not provide financial support (cash and non-cash) in the future; and
refuses to complete the parent section of the FAFSA.
