Summer 2 - July 9, 2012

Disbursements occur Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

All documentation must be completed prior to disbursement.

Loan Consolidation


If a student is interested in consolidating his or her FFELP and/or Direct loan portfolio, the Direct Loan Web site is http://loanconsolidation.ed.gov/index.html.

There are several ways to apply for Direct Loan Consolidation.

    1.  Online Web Application - located on the Application and Promissory Note Home Page at the site above.

    2.  Express Phone Application - 1-800-557-7392 - available if you only have Direct Loans.

    3.  Paper Application - can be downloaded from the site above.

 

Loans Eligible for Consolidation

Subsidized Loans:

  • Subsidized Federal Stafford Loans
  • Direct Subsidized Loans
  • Subsidized Federal Consolidation Loans
  • Direct Subsidized Consolidation Loans
  • Federal Insured Student Loans (FISL)
  • Guaranteed Student Loans (GSL)

Unsubsidized Loans:

  • Unsubsidized and Nonsubsidized Federal Stafford Loans
  • Direct Unsubsidized Loans, including Direct Unsubsidized Loans (TEACH) (converted from TEACH Grants)
  • Unsubsidized Federal Consolidation Loans
  • Direct Unsubsidized Consolidation Loans
  • Federal PLUS Loans (for parents or for graduate and professional students)
  • Direct PLUS Loans (for parents or for graduate and professional students)
