Disbursements occur Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

All documentation must be completed prior to disbursement.

Jaguar Pledge

The Jaguar Pledge is a financial aid opportunity that awaits next year’s freshmen who are Texas residents from outside the Victoria region.* Current UHV freshmen also will benefit as second-year students in fall 2011. Both incoming freshmen and these second-year students who complete the FAFSA and UHV scholarship applications (must have applied for admission to access the scholarship application) for fall 2011 are guaranteed a financial aid package that could consist of federal, state and institutional scholarships and grants. This package will cover at least 33 percent of the cost of tuition and fees. Students could save at least $3,698** in tuition and fees over two school years if they take 15 hours each fall and spring semester at UHV. Students should apply early due to funds being limited.

Students must enroll at least half time (6 semester credit hours) at UHV each semester, take face-to-face classes in Victoria, Texas, and remain in good academic standing (minimum 2.0 GPA and complete 67 percent of original course load) each semester to qualify.

Steps to Receive the Jaguar Pledge for
2011-2012 Academic Year

Apply for admission to UHV (second-year students do not need to reapply)
Complete the 2011-12 FAFSA
Complete the 2011-12 UHV Scholarship Application
Review the “To-Do” list for required documents at MyUHV and submit them to the Office of Financial Aid in person, by fax (361-580-5555) or by e-mail (finaid@uhv.edu)
Check your UHV student e-mail account frequently for information regarding your financial aid status
Accept your grant and scholarship awards in the Financial Aid section of MyUHV
