Financial Aid Office Mission Statement

The Office of Financial Aid is committed to helping students achieve their academic goals by providing them with financial resources to gain access to higher education. Financial Aid staff are dedicated to maintaining fiscal and regulatory integrity, providing timely and accurate information, offering counseling about comprehensive financial aid programs, and educating students about financial literacy. While complimenting recruitment and retention efforts of the university we will reduce the financial burden students experience while pursuing their education.

2012-13 Financial Aid Application Process

The 2012-13 UHV Scholarship Applications are now available on the http://www.uhv.edu/ofa/forms.aspx website.

The 2012-13 FAFSAs will be available on January 1, 2012. The link to the FAFSA is http://www.fafsa.gov.

Financial Aid applicants who are selected for the Verification Process can request a free copy of their tax return transcript from the IRS website at http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=232168,00.html.

Applicants will need the following information:

Social Security Number (or IRS individual taxpayer identification number);
Date of birth;
Street address; and
Zip Code or Postal Code
