The School of Nursing offers admission to the RN to BSN program in the Spring and Summer semesters at the Sugar Land and Victoria campus. For this program, classes are held one day a week – Tuesdays in Victoria; and Thursdays in Sugar Land to give students the flexibility to schedule courses around their work and family life. Starting Summer 2009 the RN to BSN program will be offered in Austin and classes will be held on Tuesday. Starting Spring 2010, the RN to BSN program will be offered at the Katy Campus. If a student is full time and takes the courses as offered, a student could complete the nursing curriculum at UHV in one year (two semesters and a summer).
Program Description
The primary educational objective of the RN to BSN-completion program is to increase the career and educational opportunities available to registered nurses in the university’s service region. Graduates of the program will have a broader understanding of the nursing profession and will bring that understanding to the practice of nursing in their places of employment. Graduates will be prepared to assume some Leadership and management roles.
Program Goals
Accreditation
