Directions for Checking Your Financial Aid To Do List
 

PeopleSoft Self Service enables you to check your admissions status, register, check your financial aid, and pay your tuition.  These directions walk you through checking your financial aid to do list. Checking your To Do List takes five steps.

 

We recommend that you use Mozilla Firefox as your browser

for PeopleSoft Self Service. Mozilla Firefox is available as a free download at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/.


 

Important

 

Check your to do list frequently (weekly) to ensure that the Office of Financial Aid has all the items it needs to process your application for financial aid.

 

 

 


Step 1: Log in to PeopleSoft Self Service and choose UHV Self Service.

 


 


Haven’t logged into PeopleSoft Self Service before? We suggest that you start by reading the directions on how to log in to PeopleSoft Self Service.

 

 

Step 2: Choose (click on) Financial Aid in the Learner Services area. (The Financial Aid icon may appear in a different location on your screen than in the example below.)



 

Step 3: Choose To Do List from the Financial Aid Screen.



 

Step 4: Choose To Do List.



Step 5: Your To Do List will appear.

 

In the screen below, you can see that the student has three items in his To Do List. You may have a longer or shorter To Do List.

Notice that the Item Status says Initiated. This Initiated designation means that the Office of Financial Aid needs the document(s) listed.



Click on each item in the To Do List to learn more about the documents that the Office of Financial Aid doesn't have. An Item Detail will display (like the one below).



By reading the Description, you’ll learn more about the specific documents that the Office of Financial Aid hasn’t received. If you have sent the item(s), it may take a few business days to process the document(s). If you haven’t sent the item, please do so.

Choose Return to go back to your To Do List.

When the Item Status changes to Received it means that the university has received the documents, and the documents are being processed.



When the item disappears from your To Do List, it means that the university has finished processing the documents. Please read the Important notice below for information about what happens next. From here, we recommend that you read the Accept/Decline Financial Aid Awards directions.
 

 

Important

 

Once all items on your To Do List have been completed and processed, you will receive information about your awards via email. Note that your awards are not automatically credited to your account. 

 

You must accept and/or decline the awards once they have been processed and become available to you.  Additionally, you will need to guarantee any loans you accept by logging into Loans by Web. View information on loans at http://www.uhv.edu/ofa/loans.asp.

 

Processing can take up to five business days. Check your UHV email account frequently.  You will receive information about your award status via UHV student email.
