Primarily teaches speech communication, film and communication. Previously taught at Penn State Harrisburg in Pennsylvania, Al Akhawayn University in Morocco, American University in Paris, and Manchester College in Indiana, primarily teaching cinema studies, media studies, video production, global communication, development communication, visual communication, radio production, and issues of representation for Middle East/North Africa and minorities in the US. Scholarly interests focus on the Middle East and North Africa cinema and media developments, with a book published in 2009 on Moroccan cinema and major contributions to a historical dictionary of Middle East and North African cinema in 2010. Affiliated with Society of Cinema and Media Studies, and Middle East Studies Association.
