Diana López is the author of several middle grade novels including Confetti Girl, which won the William Allen White Award; Ask My Mood Ring How I Feel, which was selected for the Texas Lone Star List; and Choke, which was made into a film for the Lifetime Movie Network. She is the managing editor of Huizache, a literary magazine sponsored by Centro Victoria, an organization dedicated to promoting Latino literature. López is also the faculty advisor for students interested in obtaining an undergraduate degree with a Creative Writing concentration. She believes that everyone has interesting ideas to share, and she loves working with students to help them find their voices and craft their essays and stories.
