Getting Started

Student accounts are automatically created and provide access to student email, on-site access to the computer labs, off-site access to the library databases and eSmart online learning.

New student accounts are created with the student’s date of birth (MMDDYYYY) as the initial password and the password is pre-expired.

Student account passwords for returning students are not reset. However, the life of a password is 160 days. This means that students are required to change their passwords every 160 days based on the date of their last password change.

If you are a new student with a pre-expired password or a returning student whose password has expired, you must change your password in order to access your student email or remotely access the library databases.

Passwords can be changed on-site in the labs or remotely via the email server.

To login and change your password remotely, follow the steps below:

It might be helpful to print the instructions so you can follow along as you login.

If you need assistance, please send an email message via Request Help. Please include your full name and your student number. DO NOT include private information such as your social security number, date of birth, or password.
