About Faculty Email Services
Mail.uhv.edu is the email server for
faculty and staff. On campus, the supported email application is
Outlook. Off campus, users can access email via the web interface or
by using an email client that supports Post Office Protocol (POP).
Storage space allocated per user is 1 gigabyte (GB). When a
user’s amount of space used exceeds 900MB, a warning message is
issued. When the user’s amount of used space exceeds 1 GB, outgoing
messages can not be sent until the user frees some space by deleting
or archiving old messages.
The maximum size of a single email message, sending or receiving, is
6MB.
Virus scanning software on the server blocks attachments with
certain file types, such as (but not limited to) .exe, .bat, and .scr.
