Forgot Your Password

UHV is moving towards a single account/password for UHV students. UHV students will use their UHV Student ID (unique 7-digit number) and a single password to log into the following UHV systems:

Blackboard system
Lab computers
Student e-mail (Outlook web)
Library databases

What's not yet included is the MyUHV system. Students still use their UHV Student ID (unique 7-digit number) to log into MyUHV, but the student's password may be different and is separately maintained.

(campus computers, email, library databases, Blackboard online courses)

Forgot your password and HAVE NOT set up your password recovery questions - Contact the Help Desk

If you have forgotten your password and have not set up your password recovery questions, you will need to contact the Information Technology Help Desk to get your password reset. The Help Desk is located on the second floor of University Center on the UH-Victoria campus. If you are not on campus, you can Request Help via email or call the Help Desk at 361.570.4399 or 1.877.970.4848, Ext. 4399.

Forgot your password and HAVE set up recovery questions - Go to UHV Password Self Service Site

Connect to the UHV Password Self Service site, and select "Reset Forgotten Password". You will be required to enter a new password and provide the answers to the questions you previously selected.

Set up password recovery questions (must know current password) - Go to UHV Password Self Service Site

The UHV Password Self Service site allows you to set up password recovery questions which will enable you to reset your UHV Student Account password in case you forget your password in the future. Login to the site using your UHV Student Account username and password. Select "Setup Password Recovery Questions". Select two of the questions, enter the appropriate answers, and click "Save".

PeopleSoft Accounts
(registration, payment, financial aid, grades)

PeopleSoft Account passwords can be reset by using the self-service password reset link located on the PeopleSoft login page. Click on "Request a New Password?" and follow the steps to have a new password emailed to you. The email address where your new password will be mailed will be displayed on the screen. If you are unable to reset your password via self-service, contact the Information Technology Help Desk located on the second floor of University Center on the UH-Victoria campus. If you are not on campus, you can Request Help via email or call the Help Desk at 361.570.4399 or 1.877.970.4848, Ext. 4399.

Blackboard Accounts
(online courses)

Blackboard Accounts will use the same username and password as the UHV Student email. For more information please see the following webpage: Blackboard Passwords.
