Books and Articles
Pallof, R. M. & Pratt, K. (2001). Lessons from the Cyberspace Classroom: The Realities of Online Teaching. San Francisco, CA: Jossey-Bass.

Palloff and Pratt have written a useful reference for faculty. Lessons from the Cyberspace Classroom covers the online teaching process, from working with online classroom dynamics and developing an effective learning community to addressing the needs of the online student.

Palloff and Pratt have developed a practical, hands-on guide to help faculty create a virtual classroom environment that will encourage students to excel and interact with other students. This book contains case studies, vignettes, and examples from online courses.
