Learning Objectives

As a result of this course, students will

  1. develop an understanding of the concepts of global economy and globalization
  2. develop an understanding of the importance of global competitiveness and trade
  3. be able to examine various international trading agreements, trading blocs, and emerging trading patterns
  4. be able to examine the role of transnational corporations and international financial investment in the global economy
  5. be able to examine the international migration of labor and the impact it is having on the global economy
  6. analyze and evaluate recent developments in global economics
