Learning Objectives

As a result of this course, students will

  1. Use of present value concepts as it relates to the preparation of financial statements
  2. Understand GAAP as it applies to current assets, current and long-term liabilities, revenue and expense recognition.
  3. Organize, analyze, and prepare financial statements for the benefit of the readers of financial statements
  4. Learn the importance and relevance of ethical behavior when preparing financial statements.
