1. Where and when is the Spring 2008 commencement ceremony?
   The Spring 2008 commencement ceremony will be held outdoors on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 9:00a.m. on the east side of the University West building.
   
   
2. Where exactly is the University of Houston-Victoria campus located?
   The university is located at 3007 N. Ben Wilson, Victoria, TX 77904. Please see the "About Victoria" section in the online commencement packet for a map.
   
   
3. What should I wear for the ceremony?
   Please use good judgment when choosing your attire for the ceremony. You will be standing for a considerable amount of time, so you should choose your footwear carefully.
   
   
4. Where and when can I purchase commencement regalia and order announcements and rings?
   You can purchase your commencement regalia and order your announcements and rings by visiting The Victoria College Bookstore website at http://www.victoriacollege.edu/graduationinformation
   
   Or, if you are in Victoria, you can stop by the bookstore and make your selections in person. Regalia will be available for purchase both online and in person after March 17th, 2008.
   
   
5. What can I bring into the ceremony with me?
   You will not be permitted to carry anything into the ceremony with you. Please be advised to leave purses, cameras, phones, etc. either in your vehicle or with family members. The commencement staff will not be held responsible for any items left behind during or after the ceremony.
   
   
6. I believe I’m graduating with academic honors. What do I do?
   If you think you are graduating with academic honors, please contact Carolyn Fritz in the Admissions and Records office for verification. Honor cords will be distributed to undergraduates only at the time of check in. If you are a member of an honor society within your academic school or program, please contact your advisor/sponsor for more information.
   
   
7. Is there a special place/seating for wheelchairs?
   Since seating for the outdoor spring commencement ceremony is open, please advise your guests who will need any type of special arrangements to contact one of the designated ushers for assistance.
   
   
8. If I’m graduating with a master’s degree, do I wear my hood into the ceremony?
   Upon check in, you will be given instructions by the Marshal assigned to your school. Please pay close attention to these individuals as they will instruct you on the correct way to carry your hood into the ceremony.

9. Will guests need tickets for the Commencement ceremony at the University of Houston-Victoria campus?
   Guests attending the commencement ceremony at the unversity will not need tickets to attend.
   
   
10. On which side of my mortar board do I wear my tassel?
    If you are receiving a bachelor's degree, you will wear your tassel on the right side and will move it to the left when you are instructed to do so at the conclusion of the ceremony. If you are receiving a master's degree, you will wear your tassel on the left side, where it will remain.
