Letter from the President
Dear Graduate,Let me take a moment to congratulate you on the completion of your degree. The words we use to describe this milestone – commencement and graduation – imply moving from one stage of experience or proficiency to another. And truly, this event is one of those moments that will become a “before and after” marker in your life’s journey.
I hope that your time at UHV has inspired you and built the foundation for continued learning. Mahatma Gandhi, the great political and spiritual leader of 20th century India, offered this wisdom: “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” I wish you the best of everything as you move into a new phase of life, building on what you have learned and enriching the lives of those in your circle of influence.
