Commencement Ceremony
The Spring 2008 Commencement ceremony will be held outdoors on Saturday May 10, 2008 at 9:00 a.m., on the east side of the University West building, 3007 N. Ben Wilson, Victoria. Seating is open and family and friends may arrive as early as 8:00 a.m. Spring graduates have the option of participating in this commencement ceremony or the December ceremony in Katy , Texas . If your plans change and you will not be able to attend the ceremony in Victoria , please let us know immediately, even if it is at the last minute. On the day of graduation, please report to the University West building no later than 8:00 a.m. You will enter the building through the west entrance and proceed to the second floor for check in and instructions. Only graduates will be allowed on the second floor.
Inclement Weather Plan
In case of bad weather, the commencement ceremony will be moved indoors to Faith Family Church, 2002 E. Mockingbird Lane, Victoria at 1:00 p.m. Graduates should report to the Fellowship Hall at Faith Family Church no later than noon to receive instructions. Seating is limited and a ticket for each guest attending, including infants and children, will be required to enter the building. Tickets for the indoor ceremony will be mailed to graduates in late April. The number of graduates participating in the ceremony will determine the number of tickets each graduate will receive. Graduates will not need a ticket to enter Faith Family Church.

Master Degree Recipients
If you are receiving a Master's degree, you will need to order a hood. Your hood will be lined with a color that represents your academic department. Please refer to
Regalia Information to determine which color lining you will need for your hood.
Honor graduates will be recognized at the commencement ceremony. Graduation with honors is for undergraduate students only. Final grades for Spring 2008 are not available for the commencement ceremony so for commencement, honor candidates are identified by their grades through their next to last semester of coursework.
