Welcome to Graduate Orientation
Almost every year someone asks why
honors are not awarded at the graduate level. The answer is
that graduate students are by definition academically exceptional.
They must meet advanced standards to enter and complete a graduate
program. They must be self-motivated, self disciplined, highly
skilled and highly successful learners. Those virtues are the
expectation and the legacy of graduate students at UHV.
