This notice is to provide employees, students and the public with information about the monthly safety and security incidents that occur on the University of Houston-Victoria, Victoria College, Sugar Land, and Cinco Ranch campuses.   If you feel that life or property is threatened, always call Emergency (911) immediately.

  Do your part in keeping our campus a safe place to work and study by taking an active role in Campus Safety:

• To report a security incident or safety hazard, contact: UHV Security (securityofficer@uhv.edu) at 570-4830 or the Safety & Risk Manger, Genaro Cortez (cortezg@uhv.edu) at 570-4245. In Sugar Land, contact Campus Security at (281) 275-3302, Pete Jamison (pjamison@uh.edu).  At Cinco Ranch, contact Security Officer, Linda Manzano (lmanzano@uh.edu) at (832) 842-2877;
• Attend campus Safety and Health Training sessions, UHSSL/CR Defensive Driving seminar will be held on October 14, 2005;  Personal Safety session at UHV on November 9 2005.
• Ergonomic assessments can be requested by contacting Janet Foerster (foersterj@uhv.edu) at 570-4858;
• Take a minute to read the Campus Safety and Risk Advisory Committee meeting minutes or attend the quarterly campus safety meetings. The next Campus Safety Meeting will be on November 17, 2005;
• If you are a student, check your campus assigned e-mail account at least once weekly for the latest safety related information;
• Review the Campus Security Report, which contains crime statistics, campus safety and security policy and procedures.
