SAFETY, HEALTH, AND RISK MANAGEMENT
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
2006-2007

Safety and Risk Management Goals:

Conduct a viable and responsive campus Safety and Risk Program for the benefit of employees, students and the general public. Institutional compliance with applicable Federal, State and Local safety and health laws, rules, regulations and State Office of Risk Management directives

Performance Objectives:

  1. Offer a minimum of four (4) annual safety and risk related training classes including sessions open to students;
  2. Conduct quarterly Safety & Risk Management Advisory Committee meetings represented by a cross section of employees and management. Distribute minutes to all faculty, staff, and students;
  3. Conduct annual safety inspection and/or security audits of owned and managed facilities including UHS Sugar land and UHS Cinco Ranch facilities;
  4. Conduct one emergency/fire evacuation drill in at least one university owned or managed facility annually;
  5. Complete an annual review and update of the campus Business Contingency Plan;
  6. Annual review and mitigation of greatest potential compliance risks within the Safety and Risk area;
  7. Annual review and update of the Campus Safety Manual.
