SUBJECT: ACCREDITATION AND INSTITUTIONAL PUBLICATIONS

POLICY

The institution is reviewed periodically by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. The accreditation agency takes great care to respect the confidentiality of information supplied to it during reviews. In return, it expects the institutions it accredits to use discretion in their use of the accrediting team's reports.

To avoid any possible infringement of standards and regulations of the accreditor, institutional publications will not quote from reports prepared by the accrediting agency unless that agency grants specific written permission. The institution's accredited status will be referred to only in those terms prescribed by said agency.

Any questions under this policy should be referred to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.
