Briefly from the VP

The Administration and Finance Division has survived the implementation of PeopleSoft Financials.  There are still business processes which need to be examined.  

Human Resources Department successfully brought Human Resources on-line on September 1st.  Kudos to those in Human Resources who diligently worked through the Labor Day weekend to ensure a smooth conversion.

Our appreciate is extended to  everyone for being patient with us during the implementation of PeopleSoft. 

 


Budget Office

The distribution of FY2002 budget books will be delayed due to PeopleSoft Implementation.  The plans are to have them available by the end of October 2001.

Jody Gillet - Help Desk Clerk

Charles Boldt - Building Maintenance Supervisor, Facilities.

New Positions

Lydia Huber, Accounting Analyst for Finance assumed the position of Purchasing Assistant in Business Services Effective September 1st.

Shirley Jung, Temporary Events Assistant, assumed the position of Facilities Events Assistant on September 1st.

Student ListServ

A student listserv has been created for the purposes of disseminating official university information to UHV students via e-mail.  E-mail messages posted to this listserv will relate to basic university services such as career planning and placement, financial aid, student financials, student relations, and campus safety.  Students will automatically be subscribed each semester when student email accounts are created and/or renewed.   The ability to post messages to the student listserv is restricted to specific UHV personnel. Those individuals authorized to post to the listserv are

Liz Branch, Sherrie Kroll, Zoeann Byerly, Carolyn Mallory, Debbie Dohmann, Chari Norgard,  Greg Fanelli, Richard Phillips, Joe Ferguson, Minnie Urbano, Yolanda Gonzalez, and Trudy Wortham.

These individuals will post messages pertinent to their departments. Those departments which are not directly represented can forward their information for posting to Liz Branch, Greg Fanelli, Yolanda Gonzalez or Chari Norgard.

Subscription to the student listserv is generally restricted to UHV students, but UHV faculty and staff are also welcome to subscribe.  If you would like to subscribe, please e-mail Sherry Kroll at krolls@uhv.edu
